(a) whether the Government has enhanced the capacity target under Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects Scheme;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to set up more Solar Parks in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra for achieving this target capacity; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The Government has enhanced the capacity target from 20,000 MW to 40,000 MW for development of at least 50 Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects by 2019-20, with estimated Central Financial Assistance of Rs. 8,100 crore in the country.
(c) & (d): The scheme is applicable to all States including Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. The solar projects may come up as per demand and interest shown by State Governments.
