(a) whether there is any proposal for rubberisation of roads in the country, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government is considering advanced and new technology for construction of national highways and roads;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) No Madam. However, polymer/rubber modified bitumen is used in road works on National Highways, subject to its availability.
(b) to (d) The Ministry has decided that the new/alternative materials/technologies proven in India or abroad shall be given priority in field trials for evaluating their performance on National Highways.
