Question : TRAINING TO OFFICERS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES



(a) whether the Government select/sponsor/nominate/depute Officers for training to the reputed foreign institutions for improving their academic, managerial, technical and administrative capabilities in various fields and disciplines where in some cases cost of such training is borne by the sponsoring countries/agencies under the bilateral / international agreements;

(b) if so, the number of persons from his Ministry who underwent such short/long term training courses during the last three years, year-wise;

(c) the number of SCs, STs and OBCs among them alongwith their percentage;

(d) whether any special provision has been made for ensuring adequate representation to SCs, STs and OBCs for availing such opportunity;

(e) if so, the details thereof; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefor?

(d) to (f) This Ministry recommends nominations in response to circulars received from various nodal Departments, International and inter-governmental Organisations. While recommending nominations, due weightage is given to SC/ST/OBC candidates.
