(a) the share of Air India in the aviation services during the last three years and the current year;

(b) whether Air India has been incurring losses after induction of Air Bus and Dreamliners in its fleet and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether Air India has signed an agreement with the National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited to monetize its assets and if so, the details thereof and the present level of debt of Air India; and

(d) whether the Government has received complaints for substandard quality of food being served in Air India`s international flights and if so, the details thereof along with the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a): Market share of scheduled domestic airlines during calendar year 2012, 2013, 2014 and January 2015 is Annexed.

(b): The induction of the Airbus and the B 787 aircraft (Dreamliner) to the fleet per se has led to improved performance and reduced losses.

(c): Yes, Madam. Air India has entered into Joint Venture (JV) with NBCC on 2nd December, 2014 to monetize some of its idle assets. Debt amount of Air India as on 31st January, 2015 is as follows :

1. Aircraft Loan Rs. 20,818.25 crs
2. Working Capital Loan Rs. 21,522.37 crs.
3. Long Term NCD of Rs.7400 crs.

(d): Whenever complaints pertaining to substandard food are received, immediate investigation is carried out and on the basis of investigation action is taken against the caterer as per the terms of contract. ;
