(a) the number and capacity of telephone exchanges functioning in Bolangir region of Orissa at present ;
(b) the number of such exchanges lying out of order ;
(c) the reasons therefore ;
(d) the steps taken by the Government to make them functional;
(e) the number of persons on the waiting list for telephone connection in exchange in the region at present ; and
(f) the time by which the said list is likely to be cleared ?

(a) As on 30.6.2001, there are 43 numbers of telephone exchanges functioning in Bolangir region of Orissa with equipped capacity of 24680.
(b) & (c): All the exchanges are working satisfactorily except the following 04 exchanges due to prolonged power failure and water logging in the exchange.
(i) Subalaya
(ii) Ullunda
(iii) Mahadevapalli
(iv) Sindurpur
