(a) whether the Government proposes to set up military canteen in the country including Odisha during the current financial year;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the name of ECHS polyclinics functioning in Odisha;
(d) whether the government has received any complaint regarding the functioning of ECHS polyclinics in Odisha during 2013-14 and 2014-15 so far; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) & (b): Sanction has been granted for opening of 52 Unit Run Canteens during the current financial year in the country, out of which one is in Odisha.
(c) Presently seven ECHS polyclinics are functioning in Odisha at Brahmapur, Bhubaneshwar, Sambalpur, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Angul and Puri. Two more ECHS polyclinics at Koraput and Bhawanipatna have been sanctioned but not operationalised.
(d) & (e): Central Organisation, ECHS is in receipt of seven representations mainly pertaining to establishment and expansion of ECHS polyclinics in Odisha. However, ECHS polyclinics are established as per the necessity based on concentration of ex-servicemen and the recommendations of Command / Formation Headquarters.
