(a) whether the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has become operational in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor along with the time by which it is likely to be operational;
(c) whether the Government proposes to set up benches of NCLT in various States of the country; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) : The process of formation of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has been kept in abeyance on account of a legal challenge in the Supreme Court to certain provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 relating to the constitution and composition of this body. The issue of establishment of Benches of NCLT in various States is dependent on the resolution of the litigation in the Supreme Court.
