Question : INTER- STATE TRANSFER OF ELECTRICITY

(a) whether the Union Government has decided to drop the condition that required States wishing to buy power from inter-state power projects as reported in the Times of India dated the October 9, 2007;

(b) if so, the facts reported therein; and

(c) the reaction of the Government thereto?
