(a) the names of schemes for which the grants are being provided/released to the voluntary organisations during the last three years;
(b) the criteria adopted to provide such grants;
(c) whether some irregularities have been noticed by the Government in sanctioning the grants for rural areas;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the action taken by the Government in this regards?

a) Grants are being provided to the voluntary organisations under the following schemes:
- Science & Society Programme - Tribal Sub Plan - Special Component Plan for Development of Scheduled Castes - Science & Technology Popularisation Programme - Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development - Skill Development & Training - Natural Resources Data Management System - National Science & Technology Management Information System - Programme for Rural Areas - Biotechnology based Programme for women - Biotechnology based Programme for SC/ST population - Product and Process Development scheme.b) Depending upon the requirement, the credibility and competence of the organisation the proposals are received and are considered by respective Programme Advisory Committee/Expert Committee/Task Force specially constituted for the purpose.
