Question : Hospitals empanelled under AB-PMJAY

(a) the total number of present and proposed Government/private hospitals empanelled under AB- PMJAY in the country, State/UT-wise/district-wise;

(b) the number of people who have availed treatment under the said Scheme since January 2020 to till date, State/UT-wise, District wise, particularly in Jharkhand;

(c) whether the Government has received any suggestions/complaints from general public or from the state governments to make the Scheme more people friendly, and if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise;

(d) the necessary corrective measures taken/ proposed to be taken by the government in this regard;

(e) the target fixed and achieved under AB-PMJAY, State/UT-wise;

(f) whether the beneficiaries get paperless and cashless access to the services in the hospitals empanelled under the Scheme and if so, the details thereof; and

(g) the details of limitations and obstacles faced by the Government during the implementation of the said Scheme in the country, State/UT-wise, including Khandwa and Khargone Barwani constituencies of Madhya Pradesh?

(a) to (g): As of 31st January 2022, 24,832 hospitals are empanelled under Ayushman Bharat -Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The State/UT-wise list of hospitals is at Annexure-I. A total of 2.05 crore hospital admissions are authorized under the scheme since January 2020. The State/UT-wise details thereof are at Annexure-I. National Health Authority (NHA) has initiated steps for setting up of Joint Review Mission (JRM) across the country to function as a valuable feedback mechanism for the scheme to make it more people friendly.

All the eligible beneficiaries of the implementing States/UTs are entitled to avail benefits under the scheme since day one of the launch of the scheme.

All hospital transactions under the scheme are completely cashless and paperless. As of 31st January 2022, more than 2.77 crore hospital admissions worth over Rs. 31,238 croreare authorized for the scheme’s beneficiaries across a network of more than 25,000 empanelled hospitals.

NHA is working along with State Health Agencies (SHAs) for improving awareness amongst beneficiaries, expanding healthcare providers network, timely settlement of claims of empanelled hospitals and augmenting capacities of SHAs and District Implementation Units to ensure more effective stewardship of the scheme at the grass-root level.
