(a): The eligibility criteria for selection of coaching institutions is as follows:
(i) the institute should be a registered body or run by any organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860/Companies Act, 2013 or any other relevant Act of the State/Union Territory.
(ii) The institute should have been registered for a period of at least 3 years as on date of notification for inviting applications from States/UTs/Coaching Institutions for empanelment by the Ministry.
(iii) The institute should have been fully functional for a minimum period of 3 years at the time of applying under this Scheme and having a minimum enrolment of 100 students in the courses each year for at least two years, immediately prior to the year in which selected for empanelment.
(iv) The institute must have proper infrastructure to meet all requirements for providing coaching in the courses applied for.
The proposals for empanelment of coaching institutions are considered by a Selection Committee and recommended for selection based on their past record of performance and other criteria determined by the Selection Committee.
(b): While empanelling any institute under the scheme, it is necessary that the institute should have proper infrastructure, fully functional for 3 years and have good results in exams. The institutes are empanelled after recommendations of the concerned State Governments which are required to do due diligence in this regard before recommending an institute for empanelment. The institute also submits its performance report after completion of course. Ministry also conducts time to time inspection, as required, for proper monitoring of the Scheme.
(c): On the basis of the performance report submitted by the empanelled institutes under the scheme, the number of successful candidates in the country during the last three years, State/UT-wise including Bihar are annexed in Annexure-A
(d): On the basis of the performance report submitted by the empanelled institutes under the scheme, the number of successful candidates institute-wise and employment/entrance test-wise in the last three years are annexed in Annexure-B.
