(a) to (d): Use of National Flag as a portion of costume or uniform of any description or embroidering or printing it on any dress material is prohibited under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. Accordingly, on a reference received from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, that Ministry was informed that the use of insignia of the National Flag on the helmets worn by the Indian Cricket Players is not permissible.
