(a) whether a Vikas Nidhi has recently been set up in every
Kendriya Vidyalaya of the country;
(b) if so, the sources of this Vikas Nidhi;
(c) the heads of expenditure as also the modus operandi
therefor;
(d) details of the amount raised in Vikas Nidhis of
Kendriya Vidyalayas of Delhi Region since inception; and
(e) details of expenditure made, head-wise and amount-wise?

(a) & (b) : Yes, Sir. Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN) has been
set up in Kendriya Vidyalayas w.e.f.1.4.2000 by charging
Rs.100/- from each student (Rs.125/-p.m. from Science
Students of classes XI & XII).
(c) Expenditure is being incurred out of this Nidhi after
obtaining approval of Executive Committee of Vidyalaya
Management Committee on Pupils Societies, Scouts and Guide
activities, Horticulture, Maintenance and Repair of
Vidyalaya Building, Annual Day/Sports Day, Engaging part-
time/contractual watch & ward staff, Rent, Rate & Taxes,
Furniture, Library, Laboratory and sports equipment,
Computers, CBSE examination fees for SC/ST students and
other various students academic and extra co-curricular
activities.
(d) & (e) The information regarding amount raised since
inception and the expenditure under the various heads is not
maintained centrally.
