(a) to (c): Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion administers the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951. The Act covers 37 broad categories of Industries in the
Manufacturing sector in its First Schedule. This Department has not received any representation
from industrial organization for grant of status of industry to the organized retail market.
