(a) Whether the Government has proposed to open a Land Customs Station (LCS) at Kakrahwa, Uttar Pradesh:
(b) If so, the details thereof and if not the reasons therefore, and
(c) Whether the Government has proposed or initiated the process for opening a preventive check post at Kakrahwa: and
(d) If so, the details thereof ?

(a) & (b): Kakrahwa has been appointed as Land Customs Station for the purpose of clearance of baggage, passenger vehicles and tourist vehicles vide Notification No. 42/2016-Customs (NT), dated 29.03.2016.
(c ) & (d): Yes, there is a preventive check post at Kakrahwa, Customs(Prev.) Commissionerate. Lucknow, being a Preventive Commissionerate, the officers posted at LCS Kakrahwa are also performing preventive work in addition to the work mentioned in reply to the para (a) & (b) above.
