(a) whether the Government has provided any financial assistance for the
development of the North-Eastern Region;
(b) if so,the details thereof alongwith the budgetary provisions made for the North
-Eastern States during the last decade, State-wise and year-wise;
(c) the extent to which the per capita income in these States have increased during
the said period; and
(d) the changes in the population of people living below poverty line in the said
States during the said period?

(a) Yes Sir,
(b) The Plan Outlay approved by Planning Commission for the North East
States during the last decade (State-wise and year-wise) is given at Annexure-I.
(c) The per capita income of North East States during the last decade is given
at Annexure-II.
(d) State-wise estimated number of persons below poverty line in respect of
North East States as per the available comparable estimates is given at Annexure-III.
