Question : Status of Health of Children in NER

(a) the number of children under the age of five years in North-Eastern States of the country, State-wise;
(b) the number of children with full immunization under the age of five years in NER, State-wise;
(c) the number of malnourished children under the age of five years in NER, State-wise;
(d) the number of stunted children under the age of five years in NER, State-wise; and
(e) funds allocated for child health care to North-Eastern States under Central Government Schemes during the last five years, State-wise?

(a) Based on the “Report of the technical group on projected population, India and States 2011-2036, National Commission on Population and Office of Registrar General of India”, the estimated numbers of children under the age of five years as on 1st March 2021 in North-Eastern States of the country are as follows:

(b) A child is considered fully immunized if the child has received 1 dose of Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG), 3 doses of Diphtheria, Pertussis and Tetanus toxoid (DPT), 3 doses of Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) and 1 dose of Measles within 1 year of age. Number of children fully immunized in North East Region as per HMIS portal is as follows:
