Question : Funds for NESIDS

(a) the details of the amount of funds released for North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) and amount unused, State-wise;

(b) whether there is emphasis on the construction of buildings of importance to human development such as schools and hospitals and if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the number of projects currently approved under the scheme and the percentage completion of the projects, State-wise?

(a) The details of funds released under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) , State-wise, are given below:-

Utilization Certificates (UCs) of the funds released under NESIDS have not yet become due.

(b) The scope of this scheme, inter alia, also covers creation of infrastructure in the areas of primary and secondary sectors of education and health. Three (03) projects costing Rs.36.33 crore under education sector and four (04) projects costing Rs.75.96 crore under health sector have been sanctioned.

(c) 55 projects have been sanctioned under this scheme. The state-wise details of the projects are as under:-
