STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) to (c) OF THE LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 276* FOR ANSWER ON 12 MARCH, 2020 REGARDING HYPERLOOP PROJECTS ASKED BY SHRI JAGDAMBIKA PAL
(a) to (c) Government of India has no exclusive official policy for regulation and expansion of hyperloop system. As per National Urban Transport Policy (NUTP) -2006, Government of India, supports proven technologies for public transport around the world that are yet to be adopted in India, as and when it is received from any state government. This Ministry has not received any proposal for implementation of hyperloop transport system from any of the State Governments. Government of Maharashtra has informed that it has undertaken project viability and structuring study for hyperloop system between Pune and Mumbai.
