(a) whether the gap between income and expenditure of Prasar Bharati has
been continuously widening;
(b) if so, the details thereof during each of the last three years and the
current year and the reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to bridge this gap?

(a) & (b) Prasar Bharati has informed that there has been a significant increase
in expenditure during the last two years and the current year on account of the
implementation of the recommendations of 6th CPC, even while there has been growth
in revenue earned by Prasar Bharati. The details of expenditure incurred and
revenue generated during the recent years are as follows:
