(a) whether the Government has launched National Hydrogen Mission;
(b) if so, the details of the achievements made so far and the programmes proposed in future under the said Mission;
(c) whether the Government proposes to promote startups for commercial production and consumption of hydrogen energy; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)to(d) In the Independence Day speech on August 15, 2021, Hon’ble Prime Minister announced the National Hydrogen Mission and stated the goal to make India a global hub for Green Hydrogen production and export.
The Mission proposes a framework inter alia for demand creation, support for indigenous manufacturing, Research & Development, pilot projects, and enabling policies and regulations. These proposed measures will also benefit potential startups working in Green Hydrogen production and utilization sectors.
