(a) & (b): The Ministry is implementing wide ranging programmes based on major Non-conventional energy sources such as solar, wind, small hydro and biomass throughout the country including the State of Rajasthan. The details of programme-wise achievements made under various Non-conventional energy programmes in the State of Rajasthan during the last three years are given in the Annexure. The Ministry has taken various steps for overall development and deployment of renewable energy systems/devices by way of providing various fiscal, financial and promotional incentives i.e. central subsidy, 100% accelerated depreciation, concessional custom duty, excise duty/sales tax exemption, soft term loans, conducive policies for wheeling, banking, buy-back, third party sale of renewable energy power and soft loan from Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), etc. throughout the country including the State of Rajasthan.
