(a) whether power generation projects of National Thermal Power Corporation are getting the environmental clearance from his Ministry quite late;
(b) the reasons for such delay in according the clearance; and
(c) the expected cost overrun of the projects due to delay?

(a) Power generation projects including the ones received from National Thermal Power Corporation are appraised for according environmental clearance as per the provisions of Environmental Impact Assessment Notification of 1994, as amended from time to time. Decisions on the projects are taken normally within 90 days of the receipt of complete information from project authorities.
(b)&(c) No power project of M/s National Thermal Power Corporation is currently awaiting Environmental Clearance.
