Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, COMMUNICATIONS AND
ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

(SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW)
(a): 116 level crossings (LCs) have been closed during last seven years i.e. from the year 2014-15 to 2020-21 in Nagpur Division, Central Railway.
(b) to (d): There is a well laid down system in place to conduct annual survey/ annual inspection by Railway officials twice a year i.e. before and after monsoon at the underpasses in lieu of LCs. In addition to it, the problem of water logging is also monitored on daily basis during patrolling of track. In case of any public grievance, railway authority can be approached round the clock for redressal.
