(a) and (b): The Ministry of Tourism does not have any scheme for declaring sites/destinations as heritage centres/towns. The Ministry, however, under its various scheme guidelines, provides Central Financial Assistance to State Governments/Union Territory Administrations for development of tourism related infrastructure, subject to submission of proposals by the State Governments and their adherence to relevant scheme guidelines.

No project has been received by the Ministry for the development of tourism infrastructure in Basavakalyan Kudal Sangam and Basavana Baggewadi in Karnataka.
