(a) whether the Government is regulating e-sports and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has recognised that there are new popular apps where games of luck are being promoted as games of skill; and
(c) if so, the measures taken by the Government in regulating such apps?

(a): No Sir. However, E-sport, which is in the nature of competitive sport and which has also been included in Asian Games 2022, will be regulated as per the provisions of the National Sports Development Code 2011, to enable participation of sportspersons of e-sport from India in the Asian Games 2022 and other competitive international sports events.
(b) & (c): Online gaming sector is an evolving sector, and with rapid expansion of internet connectivity and use of smart phones, a number of gaming apps have come up.
