(a) & (b): 82nd Raising Day of CRPF was observed on 27th July, 2020 in e-format following due COVID protocol. The following Programmes were organized on this occasion.

(i) Three short video films on “Nature Warriors”, “Covid Warriors” and “Internal Security Warriors” as well as “Sambhav” App were released;
(ii) Neemuch, the birth place of CRPF was connected through Webinar and wreath laying ceremony was held at Shourya Sthal;
(iii) 1624 officers/men and 3248 officers/ men were awarded “Ati Utkristh Seva Padak” and “Utkristh Seva Padak” respectively.
(c): CRPF, the largest Central Armed Police Force, has immensely contributed to internal security and is deployed in various major theatres of internal disturbances viz. LWE Areas, J&K and North East. CRPF is also deployed for maintenance of law and order in various parts of the country on the request of State Governments. In addition, CRPF has also been guarding some important installations/institutions and providing security to VIPs.
(d): To cater to internal security requirements, 04 new battalions were approved for raising in the year 2018.
(e): Strengthening of Central Armed Police Forces including CRPF, is an ongoing continuous process. To modernize and improve efficiency of CAPFs, the Government has approved modernization plan for equipping them with latest technology, modern weaponry and vehicles. Further, 18 pre-induction training nodes have been established in CRPF to impart theatre specific training to the

newly inducted personnel in order to physically and mentally prepare them to meet challenges posed by adversaries in the respective theatres and to augment their operational performance/ efficiency.
(f): Some of the steps taken by the Government for welfare of CAPFs personnel and their families, including CRPF, are given at Annexure.
