Question : Amendment in Coal Bearing Areas

(a) whether the Government is considering to make any further amendments to the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c ) whether the States are bearing huge losses of revenue in the absence of any contract between the State Governments and coal companies; and
(d) if so, the action plan formulated by the Government to deal with this situation?
