Question : DIRECT FLIGHT FROM DELHI TO PATNA

(a) whether the Government propose to start direct flights from Delhi to Patna; and

(b) if so, the steps taken or proposed to be taken in this regard?

(a) and (b): At present, there is no such proposal, under consideration of Indian Airlines to start direct flights from Delhi to Patna. Indian Airlines/Alliance Air are, however, operating services between Delhi and Patna via Ranchi/Lucknow. Airline Operators are, however, free to operate on any sector subject to compliance with the Route Dispersal Guidelines and commercial viability.
