(a) Following agencies/ institutions expressed their interest in conducting Seismic Microzonation of various cities:

VII. M/s Rawel Singh & Company, Ropar
VIII. M/s Indian Geotechnical Services, New Delhi
IX. Centre for Urbanization Buildings and Environment (CUBE), IIT Madras, Chennai
X. Institute of Seismological Research (ISR), Gandhinagar
XI. Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee, Roorkee
XII. Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur, Kharagpur

(b) Based on the competitive bids, seismic microzonation work for 4-cities namely Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mangalore has been awarded to following firms:
Bhubaneswar: M/s SeconPvt. Ltd
Chennai: M/s Fugro Geotech (India) Pvt. Ltd
Coimbatore: M/s SeconPvt. Ltd
Mangalore: M/s SeconPvt. Ltd
The Microzonation work for 8 other cities namely, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Dhanbad, Varanasi, Meerut, Agra, Amritsar shall be initiated soon after completion of necessary administrative and financial approval.
(c) An amount of Rs. 22.63 crores has been allocated during last there years.
