Question : Funds Allocated for Various Cultural Programmes and Projects

(a) the details of the funds allocated by the Government as assistance to various cultural programmes and projects in the country including Maharashtra and the amount utilized in this regard during the last two years;

(b) the details of the ongoing cultural programmes and projects in Maharashtra;

(c) the details of the projects completed in time and the projects lagging behind schedule along with the reasons for such delay;

(d) the amount of funds released to the cultural centres of Maharashtra during the last three years along with the details thereof; and

(e) the purposes for which the said funds were utilised by the said centres along with its details?

(a) : The Ministry of Culture provides assistance for various cultural programmes and projects in the country through various central sector schemes. These schemes are also applicable for the State of Maharastra. Funds allocated/utilized under various central sector schemes during the last two years are as under:

d. Tagore Cultural Complex Scheme

Under TCC scheme, one project namely Construction of TCC at premises of Mahatama Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Viswavidyalaya, Wardha, Maharashtra. is an ongoing project in the state of Maharashtra. Project has been completed

e. *Under Allied Cultural Activities scheme, one project namely Devasthan Management Committee, Kolhapur, Maharashtra (Govt. of Maharashtra, Law & Judiciary Department). * The project is lagging behind the schedule time of completion as the University does not submitted requisite documents as per the scheme guidelines timely to this Ministry for process the case further.

f. SPOCS Scheme Setting up of Innovation Hubs at Nehru Science centre, Mumbai, Raman science centre, Nagpur, Solapur Science Centre Project is running on time
