Question : Steel Based Industries

(a) the details of the total number of steel based industries in the country, State/UT-wise;
(b) the details of the volume of export and import of raw steel and steel products during the last three years;
(c) the plant-wise details of the estimated volume of raw coal and iron ore required for Government-owned steel plants for each of the next three years;
(d) whether quantity of domestic production of coal and iron-ore is adequate to fulfill the demand of steel sector and if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the details of the volume of coal and iron supplied against their total demand?

(b) The details of import, export of semis and finished steel during last three years are given as follows:
