Will the Minister of EARTH SCIENCES be pleased to state:-

(a) whether the Government proposes to set up a Centre for Research Studies and Analysis under Ministry of Earth Sciences at Sitamarhi of Bihar adjoining Nepal to keep track of the large scale changes taking place in Himalayan range;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(b) Does not arise.
(c) Ministry of Earth Sciences has not received any proposal to set up a Centre at Sitamarhi, Bihar.
