(b) & (C) Mongla is a Port of Call under PIWT&T. Chittagong is not a Port of Call under the PIWT&T. However, on the use of Chattogram and Mongla Ports in Bangladesh for movement of goods to and from India, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 06.06.2015, an Agreement dated 25.10.2018 and a Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) dated 05.10.2019 have been signed by India and Bangladesh. These measures provide connectivity between Chattogram and Mongla Ports in Bangladesh with Agartala and Srimantpur in Tripura, Dawki in Meghalaya and Sutarkandi in Assam.
