Question : RE APPOINTMENT UNDER ARTICLE 164(4)

(a) whether attention of the Government has been drawn towards a Supreme Court judgement on August, 17, 2001 in S.R. Choudhary Vs. State of Punjab that no one can be re-appointed under Article 164(4) without getting elected to the Legislature;

(b) whether any guidelines on this issue has been formulated by the Government;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) if not, whether Government propose to deal with such a situation in future?
