Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS (SHRI HANSRAJ GANGARAM AHIR)

(a) to (d) Government of India has not carried out any study on listing of banned chemicals in other countries. The chemicals are used in different applications such as industrial, agricultural and public health. An individual sovereign nation may ban a chemical for a particular intended use depending upon the socio economic, technical feasibility and availability of its substitutes but it would not call for similar action by another sovereign nation.
