(a) the details of State-wise number of textile mills under the National Textile Corporation(NTC);
(b) the details of number of employees working in each of these mills;
(c) whether many of these mills are not operational at present and the employees are not being paid their salaries and other benefits for a long time; and
(d) if so, the details of the arrears and the time by which it is expected to be paid?

(a) & (b): There are 23 operating mills under National Textile Corporation (NTC) Limited and 7825 employees working/on roll in these mills. State-wise details alongwith number of employees in such mills are at Annexure-I.
(c) & (d): Due to unavailability of working capital and other financial constraints, operation in all NTC mill units is presently under suspension. In order to protect the interest and welfare of employees, they are being paid wages and statutory dues as per mutual agreement between management and representing workers of the mill.
