(SHRI NITYANAND RAI)

(a): Yes Sir.

(b) to (e): The vacancies in the service are caused due to factors such as retirement, resignation, death, removal from service etc. All these factors are recurring in nature and related to the rate of recruitment. The Government of India has increased the recruitment to Indian Police Service (IPS) from 150 to 200 from 2020 Civil Service Examination. Due to concerted efforts made to expedite the process of appointments to the IPS officers from State Police Service in Telangana, 20 IPS officers have been appointed by promotion from State Police Service in Telangana during last year and 05 IPS officers have been allotted in 2020 for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2020 in Telangana cadre.
