Question : Infrastructure Development

Will the Minister of URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) the details of urban and infrastructure development schemes running or proposes to start in the country including in backward region, city and State-wise;
(b) the details of proposals received by the Government during the last three years and the current year so far under these schemes, city and State-wise;
(c) the details of proposals cleared, funds sanctioned and work undertaken under these schemes during the above, period, city and State-wise;
(d) the details of proposals are lying pending, city and State-wise and the time by which these pending proposals are likely to be cleared; and
(e) whether the Government proposes to merge the various urban development schemes into Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The following schemes are being implemented for development of urban basic infrastructure i.e. water supply, sewerage, septage, storm water drainage, urban transport etc. in cities/towns including backward regions.
1) Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)
2) Smart cities Mission
3) National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY)
4) North Eastern Region Urban Development Programme (NERUDP)
5) 10% Lumpsum provision scheme for benefit of North Eastern Region including Sikkim
6) Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)

(b) to (d):- AMRUT mandates the States/UTs to sanction/implement the projects. The Central Govt. only approves State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) (Annexure-I). Under Smart city mission, no projects have been sanctioned. The details of projects/ funds sanctioned under AMRUT, HRIDAY, NERUDP, 10% Lumpsum, SBM are at annexure –I, II, III, IV & V respectively. These are ongoing schemes and proposals are cleared as per guidelines.

(e): No madam, there is no such proposal.
