Question : Subsidy to Fertilizer Plants

(a) the number and details of fertilizer plants which have been given subsidy during the last five years including the amount of subsidy;

(b) whether the Government proposes to revive those fertilizer plants which were closed due to delay in disbursement of subsidy;

(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;

(d) whether subsidy for the year 2018-19 has been disbursed to the fertilizer plants which are operational at present; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) : Sir, the number and details of fertilizer plants which have been given subsidy during the last five years including the amount of subsidy are is given at Annexure A to C.

(b) : Sir, there is no information regarding closure of plant due to delay in disbursement of subsidies.

(c): Does not arise in view of (b) above.

(d) & (e): Subsidy allocated for the financial year 2018-19 was disbursed to the fertilizer plants. Claims for the year 2018-19 received upto 31.03.2019 have been settled and details are given at Annexure-D
