(a) & (b) : While the representation of SCs and STs has reached the level of 15% and 7.5%
respectively in the Indian Trade Service, the level of 27% reserved for the OBCs has not been
reached as such reservation is applicable only in respect of direct recruitment and there has
been no direct recruitment to this service subsequent to the introduction of post based
reservation roster on 2.7.1997.
