(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) The Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 55 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (53 of 1972), has authorised the officers of the Delhi Special Police Establishment (CBI), not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, to file complaints with regard to offences punishable under the said Act.
