Question : Development of Animal Husbandry- Poultry and Fisheries

Will the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare ???? ??? ????? ?????? ??????
be pleased to state:

a) the details of various schemes implemented by the Government for development of animal husbandry, poultry and fisheries in various States of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan during the last three years and the current year;
b) the details of the farmer beneficiaries of the said schemes during the said period along with the targets fixed and achieved by the Government under these schemes;
c) Whether the Government has received any proposal from some States including Chhattisgarh regarding animal husbandry, dairy and fishery projects under the Centrally sponsored schemes;
d) the details of funds allocated and released to various States by the Government during the said period, State-wise;
e) Whether the Government is also considering to provide special package to certain States for development of animal husbandry, poultry farming and pisciculture, if so , the details thereof; and
f) the various steps taken by the Government to promote the animal husbandry and fisheries sector in the country?

(a) The schemes implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries for development of animal husbandry, poultry and fisheries are given at Annexure-I.
(b) No specific physical targets were fixed with respect to the States/UTs. However, overall physical targets fixed and the achievements made during last three years and the current year under the above schemes are enclosed at Annexure-II(A to E).
(c) All proposals received from State Governments are examined as per scheme guidelines and funds are released as per eligibility of the proposal and availability of funds.
(d) There were no specific State wise allocation of funds for the schemes being demand driven. However, during 2015-16 tentative allocation were made against certain schemes of the Department. The details of funds released to the States/UTs under the schemes given in Annexure-I, during last three years and the current year are enclosed at Annexure III (A to U).

(f) Department is supplementing the efforts of State/UT Govt. through various schemes given in (a) above.
