(a)&(b)Proposals for cultivation of medicinal plants were received from State Government of
Kerala during the current year for financial assistance.
A new Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Mission on Medicinal Plants has been implemented
by the Government under which cultivation is proposed to be taken up in identified clusters
through Growers, Self Help Groups, Corporates, Growers Cooperatives, etc. The scheme will be
coordinated by State Horticultural Missions at State level.
The proposals for cultivation of medicinal plants received from State Government of Kerala
were, therefore, returned for disposal at the State level in accordance with the new Centrally
Sponsored Scheme on National Mission on Medicinal Plants.
