(a) whether the Government proposes to aid rural unaided Degree Colleges and Girls’
Degree Colleges run by the Charitable Trusts in the country;
(b) if so, whether the Government also proposes to provide one time Central assistance for
infrastructural development in such colleges; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): No Madam. Unaided rural degree colleges and girls’ degree colleges run by Charitable
Trusts are not eligible to receive grants under any of the schemes implemented by the
University Grants Commission (UGC) for Colleges.
