(a) whether the Government had constituted a three member committee to conduct an enquiry into the matter regarding alleged atrocities on scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS); and
(b) if so, the details thereof including the outcome thereof?

(a) & (b) : Yes Sir, the Government had constituted a Committee under the Chairmanship of Professor Sukha Deo Thorat, Chairman, University Grants Commission to look into the complaints from Members of Parliament, media reports and other representations on the alleged harassment of SC/ST students in AIIMS. The Committee has not yet submitted its report.
