(a) whether training of soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is being conducted by the army in other States;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(c) whether there are ten firing ranges in J&K but the State Government has refused to renotify all the leases that have lapsed in the past one year; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a) & (b): Soldiers deployed in Jammu & Kashmir undergo training within the State or outside the State as per requirement.
(c) & (d): There are 12 Field Firing Ranges (FFRs) in Jammu & Kashmir. The State Government has not refused renotification of any FFR. However, the State Government has been requested to renotify the FFRs where the lease has expired.
