The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has informed that it does not blacklist companies / organizations. However, SEBI may issue directions or prohibitive orders such as debarment from accessing the securities market or from dealing in securities. Further, while exercising powers under Sections 11, 11B or 11D of the SEBI Act, 1992, SEBI issues directions restraining/prohibiting entities from doing certain activities or directing the concerned entities to act in a particular manner in the interest of investors and the securities market. The number of such orders passed by SEBI in the last three financial years are as below:
