Question : EXPORT OF RAW MATERIAL

(a) whether raw materials and semi finished products are exported from the country;

(b) if so, the details of the total value of exports of raw materials and semi-finished products during the last three years, year-wise;

(c) the value of the finished products exported from the country during each of the said periods; and

(d) whether the Government has chalked out any scheme in the country to promote the export of finished products instead of exporting raw material and semi-finished products from the country?

(a): Yes Madam.

(b)&(c): A Statement containing the data of export of the principle commodities which include raw materials and semi-finished products is Annexed.

(d): Export of several raw materials have been prohibited. Incentive schemes have been prescribed for promoting the export of finished products as well. Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana Scheme (VKGUY) is in place to promote export of agricultural produce, their value added products, gram udyog products etc. Focus Product Scheme (FPS) is in place to promote export of specified products.
