(a) to (c) A communication had been received from Shri Vijay Darda, Member of
Parliament in December 2002 about FM stations in Maharashtra, extent of
coverage, perspective planning etc. A reply had been sent in January 2003 giving
the requisite details and informing that 1st Phase of privatization of FM Radio
stations has been completed and Phase-II is yet to be taken up.
A committee has since been constituted by an Order dated 24th July, 2003, for making
recommendations for Phase - II.
